We are a team of young naturalists combining fieldwork, photography, science and outreach to highlight and protect Morocco's unique animals and inspire people to join us.
Founder & Photographer
Both Swiss and Moroccan, Rayane has been passionate about wildlife since childhood. Through his photography and this project, he hopes to inspire greater conservation efforts for Morocco's overlooked wildlife.
Making Morocco's wildlife visible, understood, and protected
Morocco's reptiles and amphibians are often overlooked and misunderstood because information about them is hard to find. Our solution: a free, online visual encyclopedia that makes these species visible and accessible to all. Understanding leads to awareness. Awareness leads to conservation.
Morocco's chameleons face multiple threats, including illegal collection, uncontrolled trade, and habitat loss. In partnership with the Caméléon Conservation Center, we study their ecology, assess the threats they face, develop welfare protocols for seized animals, and map populations to guide future conservation strategies.
For our projects, we explore Morocco's nature for months each year
Our last expedition marked a major step forward for our Encyclopedia project. As our longest and most rewarding journey yet, it allowed us to document far more species than expected, and gather an exceptional amount of photographic material.
