Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data is collected on fauna-morocco.org, for what purposes, and your rights — in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for EU visitors, the GDPR.

Data we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message.
• Donations: the amount and the information needed to process the donation. Payment details (card, etc.) are handled directly by our provider Payrexx AG; we do not have full access to them.
• Audience measurement: via Google Analytics, browsing data (pages viewed, device and browser type, referrer, IP address) using cookies.
• Technical logs: our host records connection data (IP address, timestamp) for security and proper operation.

Purposes and legal bases

We process this data to respond to your requests, process and track donations, measure audience and improve the site, and ensure security and proper operation. Depending on the case, processing is based on your consent (analytics cookies), the performance of an action you request (donation, reply), or the association's legitimate interest (security, improvement).

Recipients and processors

Your data may be shared with our providers, only as necessary: Payrexx AG (Switzerland) — payments; Google Ireland/LLC — analytics; Hostinger International Ltd — hosting. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

Transfers outside Switzerland / the EU

Some providers (notably Google) may process data outside Switzerland or the EU, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or recognised protection mechanisms).

Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above (e.g. the time to handle your request, the legal period applicable to donations, or the lifetime of analytics cookies), then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Under the FADP and the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection and restriction, the right to withdraw consent at any time and, where applicable, to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to contact@fauna-morocco.org. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence in the EU.

Cookies

The site uses audience-measurement cookies (Google Analytics) to understand traffic and improve the site. You can refuse or delete cookies at any time via your browser settings. (A consent banner will be added; until then, refusal is done via the browser.)
